Promises of Christ for Comfort & Healing

Promise 28: And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind …. your Father knows that you need these things.

Luke 12: 29-30

Dear Jesus,

            For many years I told myself that first I would take care of my material needs and then I would have time for the spiritual.  And year after year I worried about money, health, jobs, relationships and other worldly things. The more I chased after happiness the more it eluded me. The more I tried to control my anxiety the more anxious I became.

            I was wrong. All of my prayers should have been asking for wisdom, patience, compassion and faith. As You said, the Father knows we need these things. So I remind myself today that I can turn my attention to the needs of my heart and spirit. All the rest shall be taken care of by the Father.

My Father fills all of my needs.
