Promises of Christ for Comfort & Healing

Promise 27    And all things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.

Matthew 21:22

Dearest Friend,

By Your divine nature You can do nothing that will frighten or hurt me. Your only desire is that I come closer to You for in closeness lies my safety and my joy. Therefore, if I pray for something that will not be for my highest good, You cannot give it to me without breaking our bond of trust.

If I pray without belief, You cannot give it to me without my full acceptance of Your gift and my belief in my worthiness to receive it. How can I not be worthy, for You are my brother and have told me that all that You have is mine also. From your divine prospect you can read the needs of my soul and bring to it that which will make it grow. There is nothing I can ask for that I will not receive—if only I believe.

Help thou my unbelief.
