The Promises of Christ for Comfort & Healing

Promise 17: I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

John 6:35  

Dear Christ of the Eucharist,

            You are the bread and wine of eternal life. You are the well that never runs dry and the bread that always nourishes. You feed that part of me that is not of this world but of the divine. You quench my thirst for the eternal. You fulfill that part of me that hungers for union.

            Just as You gave Your body and blood for my sake, let me make sacred my life for you. Teach me how to offer up my thoughts and words and deeds for your glory. Even though I am stumble and fall, if You but say but the word my soul shall be healed.

Happy are those who are called to Your supper.
