Promise 26: But love your enemies, do good and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Highest.

Dear Father,

In thinking of myself first I am deaf to the needs of others. Instead of asking who I could love, I asked who could love me. Instead of helping others, I asked who could help me. Because I could not learn to love my enemies, I have become my own worst enemy.

Help me, Father, to understand that the more I love, the more I am loved. Teach me that my real reward does not come from others, but from You.

Father, teach me to do good.
