Welcome to Remembering the Sacred Self. I developed this blog to act as a sacred space in which we can explore the journey back to the Source. Many people have traveled this road before us – the saints, mystics, poets, kings, slaves, revolutionaries, ordinary people – all the roles we take on in the divine play.
Who are we, where did we from, why are we here and where are we going? The search to answer these questions can become the overriding purpose of our lives. When we finally have an insight there may be a feeling that the answer was unconsciously known to us all along, that we are remembering something that has always been known – although perhaps temporarily forgotten. We are remembering our sacred self.
My own journey has included Christianity, Taoism, Buddhism, Hinduism and the more amorphous New Age spirituality. Some of my early, and most important, teachers were Krishnamurti, Paramahansa Yogananda, Alan Watts and A Course in Miracles. More recently I have studied the works of Eckhart Tolle, Robert Adams, Ramana Maharshi and Nisargadatta.
